'In an era of Globalization, relationships among government, business, and Non-Governmental Organizations are being redefined. Central to this new alignment is the concept of 'sustainability'. In The Durable Corporation, Aras and Crowther provide the most comprehensive and sustained analysis of sustainability to date. The analysis has important implications for the future direction of corporate governance. This is not a book to be missed by those who seek to discern the contours of the future direction of debate.' Nicholas Capaldi, Director, National Center for Business Ethics 'This book provides a clear and concise outline of current thinking in business ethics, that will interest the practising manager and the general reader alike.' - David Stephens FCMI, Professional Manager 'The Durable Corporation is an innovative, inspired and up to date analysis of the economic and environmental threats and opportunities facing the corporate world of the twenty-first century...This book will be extremely useful to students and academics researching economics, accountancy, corporate social responsibility, and the sustainable environment. It is also an essential inclusion for any university library where these subjects are taught.' - International Journal of Law and Management
