Overview

Nareth is a dragon scholar attempting to translate a mysterious document that happens to be written in not one but two dead languages. He's been working on this project for years now and is obsessed with it to the point where he's living like a hermit in the mountains over it. When he realizes that he needs the help of a human and knows exactly where to find that human, well, he doesn't hesitate to fly off to human country for her. Audie, the young woman serving as Head Scholar to human royalty, has found herself wondering if the life she's inherited from her father is one that she really wants. When her best friend confesses his love to her, she realizes all at once just how unhappy she is. So when a handsome dragon shows up in her office asking her to leave for the mountains with him to help with research, of all things, there isn't even really a choice. The last thing either of them expects is to fall in love. Human and dragons simply don't get involved with each other, let alone form Mated pairs with each other... If only their hearts and spirits were so easily convinced.
