The first part investigates internal determinants of industrial district competitiveness, looking at internal productivity, patterns of innovation and those factors which create a favourable industrial atmosphere. The second section of the book investigates the foreign competitiveness of industrial districts, focusing on the performance of exports and other forms of internationalization.
