Author Information

Marcus Amaker is a dad, husband, and the first Poet Laureate of Charleston, SC. An award-winning poet, musician, and opera librettist, his work appears on five Grammy albums - as both a writer and designer - and has been recognized by the Kennedy Center, NPR, and PBS. He's published 12 books, released 40+ albums, and was inducted into the S.C. Literary Hall of Fame in 2024. He takes daily naps. Geoffrey Chandler is a dad, husband, and illustrator from North Carolina. The son of a writer and a librarian, he loves bringing stories to life through art. When he's not drawing, he's chasing his daughter, tolerating his mischievous dog, and reminding others that creativity is about joy, not perfection.
