Having joined Glasgow City Council in 1998 as its first-ever Director of Culture and Leisure, Bridget led the refurbishment of Kelvingrove Art Gallery Museum and the creation of Riverside Museum. She was a board member of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and headed the delivery of its ceremonies and cultural programme. Bridget was the driving force for the c£70m project to refurbish and redisplay the Burrell Collection, one of the world’s finest single art collections.
