OverviewNestorius, deposed by the Council of Ephesus, spent his final years composing an apologia defending his theological beliefs, which became known as the 'Book (or 'Bazaar') of Heraclides'. The Greek original is lost, but this Syriac translation survived in a single manuscript in the library of the Catholicos of the East, in his mountain retreat of Qodshanes.
