She then spent 10 years serving as the laboratory coordinator for the introductory geology courses at George Washington University, and as a professional lecturer in numerous colleges and universities throughout the Washington Metro Area. She has taught classes in environmental geology, physical geology, physical geography, geo-hazards, and land use planning. She has worked with the Smithsonian Institution Museum of Natural History in the Department of Mineral Sciences, the United States Geological Survey, and is currently a senior technical writer for the Earth Science Program at NASA Goddard.
