OverviewThe streets raised him. The system caged him. Now he answers to no one. Junior Quintana's life has always been simple-keep your head down, grind at the custom shop, and make sure your dads legacy stays alive. But respect doesn't pay the bills, and loyalty only goes so far when the man you work for treats your father like dirt. Then one night changes everything. Violence kicks the door down, and Junior's thrown into a world where power is taken, not earned. Where every smile hides a blade. And where blood is the only currency that counts. Now, with the ghosts of Bellavista whispering in his ear and a cartel empire rising beneath his feet, Junior must decide -be the son his father raised, or become the man the streets demand. Gritty, raw, and born from real scars, The Blood of the Son is a brutal coming-of-age story set on the edge of honor and vengeance. A story about what happens when the only way out... is through. I'm not entirely sure why-maybe I just liked the hint of mystery behind it. I grew up in the city of Bell for almost my entire life, before eventually moving out to Riverside County. If you lived in Bell or anywhere nearby, you'd probably recognize the path I took: Woodlawn Elementary, Nimitz Junior High, and Bell High School-what I jokingly call the ""trifecta.""After high school I tried my hand at college-first architecture at Harbor Community College, then later computer graphics-but neither stuck. I've always learned best by doing things on my own terms. What began as a job at Western Auto eventually turned into a long stretch as a salesman, right up until the company closed in 2008. From there I dove headfirst into the firearms industry, teaching myself everything from repair to full customization. Every skill I've picked up in my life has come from curiosity, stubbornness, and the willingness to figure things out alone.I never expected to become a writer. The original spark was a screenplay idea: an anthropology professor whose controversial theories about ancient relics get him pushed out of academia, forcing him into a life of private investigation and symbol-laden mysteries. That idea somehow transformed into a full trilogy-Veiled Truths. From there, the world opened up. I wrote the psychological spec-fic novella Interim, the cosmic-themed The Witnesses: The Fall of Eden, and recently the cartel-noir novel The Blood of the Son. Across genres, one thing ties my work together: I want to tell stories that make us pause, rethink what we know, and explore who we are in this strange existence. If even one of my books connects with you, then every step-from Bell, to Riverside, to gunsmithing, to writing-has been worth it.
