Author Information

John Inglis is Professor and Chair in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Dayton, USA. With a focus on medieval philosophy within its historical context, he is the author of Thomas Aquinas (2006), On Medieval Philosophy (2003), Medieval Philosophy and the Classical Tradition: In Islam, Judaism and Christianity (2002), On Aquinas (2002), and Spheres of Philosophical Inquiry and the Historiography of Medieval Philosophy (1998). Daniel Frank is Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Jewish Studies Program at Purdue University, USA. A specialist in medieval Jewish philosophy, his published work includes books and articles on Maimonides and Spinoza, The Cambridge Companion to Medieval Jewish Philosophy (2003, co-edited with Oliver Leaman), The Jewish Philosophy Reader (2000, co-edited with Oliver Leaman and Charles Manekin), and History of Jewish Philosophy (1997, also co-edited with Oliver Leaman). Taneli Kukkonen is Senior Lecturer in Islamic Studies at the University of Otago, New Zealand. His primary research interests are in the history of Islamic theology, philosophy, and mysticism, all areas in which he has published widely. Dr Kukkonen also studies late ancient thought, Medieval Latin Scholasticism, and contemporary philosophy of religion. He is the editor of Philosophy in Review and the secretary of the New Zealand Association for the Study of Religions.
