The biographies of two persecuted poets

Overview

In my book, I attempt to answer the following questions: Where did the female poets emigrate to, and what were their living conditions like there? How did they write in exile? What difficulties did they face? How did they support themselves? Did they work and write in exile? The reason I chose this topic is that I attended a lecture at university that dealt with German-Jewish culture in a Central European context. I found this historical period very interesting, which is why I am examining the biographies of two female poets from this era. The aim of my work is to present the biographies of two Jewish female poets, the state of literature during the Nazi era and the effect of the persecution of Jews on these authors. In doing so, I would like to compare their life stories.
