Author Information

Coach Anthony Stone grew up in Hometown, Illinois with his parents (Carol and William) and older brother (Bill). He went to Hometown Elementary School where his passion for all sports was born. Growing up he played football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling. He knew at a young age that he wanted to be a NFL player or a teacher. Sports gave him the desire to pursue his education. He went on to complete his B.A. in Physical Education (K-6th and 7-12th teaching certificate and coaching certification.) He was never able to get into the NFL but he was fortunate enough to try out for the Chicago Rush (AFL) twice - in 2001 and 2002. Later, with the support of his wife, Kara Stone, he signed an indoor football contract with the Rockford River Raptors (UIF) in 2008 as a quarterback. If it wasn't for his physical education teachers and coaches pushing him to always to be a leader he probably wouldn't be writing this book today. After completing his M.A.T. in Special Education in 2001, he went on to work for two private schools in the Rockford area. He created both of their physical education programs and incorporated The Big 4 to complement his lessons. Stone has been teaching for over 15 years in the Rockford area. He has invented over 10 games that were inspired by interactions with his own children during the summer months. Coach Anthony Stone has been presenting at Physical Education Conventions for over 4 years in two different states. He has also published over 40 blogs on football and how to teach sports. Anthony spends his spare time running his company, Coach Stone Football. His customizable football camp is available for youth, tackle and professional organizations of every level in every country. The purpose of his camp is to instill confidence in athletes by laying a foundation. His football camp, Back to the Basics, specializes in player camps, Coaches Clinics: X's & O's, and Moms of Football Clinic: Fan to Team Mom to Coach. When he's not teaching, travelling, or coaching he is enjoying life with his beautiful wife Kara and their five children. You can reach Coach Stone via email at coachstoneusa@gmail.com or by visiting his website at www.coachstonefootball.com.
