Author Information

Robin Henderson-King resides in Colorado where she was born and raised. Her father, an avid outdoors man, passed on his love of the outdoors and wildlife to her. The eldest of three girls, she accompanied her father on both fishing and hunting trips. While on family road trips he would encourage her to look at the side of the road for animals, especially deer. A skill that has come in handy with her photography. Robin graduated college with a liberal arts degree and worked in corporate communications. After the birth of her son and with the support of her husband, she decided to leave the corporate world. She started her own online home accents business, which she still runs today. She connected back with nature after her son was diagnosed with stage-four cancer. When her son's treatment was completed, the side-effects of the chemotherapy left him with peripheral neuropathy in both of his calves and feet. A physical therapist recommended walking on uneven trails to help improve and reverse the condition. So that is what they did. While walking on the trails, she took her camera and rediscovered her love of wildlife and the outdoors. But now, she had a camera to capture all the natural beauty of God's creation. Robin's photographs have been published in Colorado Outdoors Magazine and she recently completed a naturalist training program to learn even more about the natural world that she loves to photograph.
