Author Information

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, the author grew up in Philly. The eldest of three sons, he grew up in a troubled family. Somehow graduating from college, he went on to a doctorate in psychology. When in grad school, he met a wonderful woman. They married and had three beautiful children. Building a sturdy but not perfect marriage, family, and career, they spent several decades in Indiana. The years have seen strong family bonds and a commitment to the Catholic church. The author is a retired psychologist and a Catholic deacon. He has worked at a State Hospital, mental health center and in private practice. The Archdiocese of Indianapolis ordained him a deacon in 2012. Living in Annapolis, Maryland with his wife of 48 years, they have eight grandchildren. He is an avid angler, a musician, a bonsai enthusiast, a spiritual director, and a seeker of God in all things. The couple live in the basement of their daughter and son-in-law's home, helping to care for their special needs granddaughter.
