"Alice B. Toklas was Gertrude Stein's secretary-companion. For many years they lived together in France, Toklas cooking while Stein was writing. She is memorialized in Stein's most famous book, The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas. Romy Nordlinger is a New York City-based actress. As an audiobook narrator, she has recorded nearly a hundred titles, ranging from romance and self-help to science fiction and mystery. Her television credits include roles on Law & Order and One Life to Live. She is a member and committee head of the League of Professional Theatre Women and has appeared in hundreds of off-Broadway and regional theater productions and readings. She has also done voice-over work for numerous commercials, industrials, and public service announcements. Carol Monda is an Earphones Award-winning narrator and accomplished voice-over artist. She is also an award-winning actor known for her work in Out of Season, After You Left, and The Gentlemen. Mark Bramhall has won the prestigious Audie Award for best narration, more than thirty AudioFile Earphones Awards, and has repeatedly been named by AudioFile magazine and Publishers Weekly among their ""Best Voices of the Year."" He is also an award-winning actor whose acting credits include off-Broadway, regional, and many Los Angeles venues as well as television, animation, and feature films. He has taught and directed at the American Academy of Dramatic Art. M. F. K. Fisher (1908-1992) was a preeminent American food writer. She was also a founder of the Napa Valley Wine Library. She wrote some twenty-seven books, including a translation of The Physiology of Taste by Brillat-Savarin. Her books are an amalgam of food literature, travel, and memoir. Fisher believed that eating well was just one of the ""arts of life"" and explored this in her writing. Ruth Reichl is the bestselling author of the memoirs Tender at the Bone and Comfort Me with Apples and the novel Delicious! She was editor-in-chief of Gourmet magazine for ten years. She lives in New York City with her husband, son, and two cats."
