Author Information

Howard Pyle (1853-1911) was an American illustrator and author, primarily known for his children's books. He taught at Drexel University before founding his own school of art and illustration in Delaware, and his reputation largely stems from his innovations in form and illustration. He was widely respected by other artists and illustrators during his life and has had a lasting influence ever since. Philip Edwards successfully built his very own bakery before turning his eye to other creative pursuits. Apprenticing at a local publishing company led to his first book, Moby Dick, and his very first collaboration with illustrator Adam Horsepool. The duo teamed up again to round out their adventure series with King Arthur and Robin Hood. Michael Page has narrated over two hundred audiobooks and has won several Earphones Awards. As a professional actor, he has performed regularly with the Peterborough Players in New Hampshire. Currently a professor of theater at Calvin College, he lives with his wife and their two daughters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Adam Horsepool is a self-taught illustrator and concept designer who loves animation, book illustration, and visual development. His work is influenced by Dice Tsutsumi, Robert Kondo, and Jeff Turley. He is committed to bringing quality illustration and concept art to a wide range of audiences through a variety of means and styles. He lives in Nottingham with his partner and their dog.
