Overview

The Act of Falling is a poetry collection about feeling deeply, falling apart, and finding your way back to yourself. The independent poems now told in four stages of feeling, these poems explore the beauty and ache of growing up, heartbreak, healing, and the quiet bravery it takes to keep going. This book was written to be a companion: for anyone who's felt too much or felt not enough, who's struggled to make sense of it all, or who's searching for light in the dark. Whether your love was fleeting, eternal, or somewhere in between - these pages are for you. If you've ever fallen - in love, apart, in place - I hope you find something here that helps you rise.

Author Information

Isabella (often known as Izzy) Newman is a twentysomething year old poet who started sharing her poetry online in 2021. ""The Act of Falling"" is her first book which she self-published and marketed by herself and with the undying support of the ones who love her! Some things that are poetry to Izzy are ice cream in the summer, a drive with the windows down, and the human experience. Izzy just hopes that by sharing her poetry she can make at least one person feel less alone, feel a little bit of love, and be inspired to give it too. She is eternally grateful you chose to pick up this book and hold her heart delicately with such grace.
