Overview

A cherished children's classic, this second edition of That Silent Summer is certain to delight a new generation of young readers. The book tells the story of Minnow, a city girl who spends her vacation at a log cabin with three wise and eccentric relatives. Through Aunt Anna's eyes, we witness a disgruntled Minnow becoming more compassionate, as we spend that poignant, engaging - and sometimes silent - summer on Birch Lake. That Silent Summer was first published by Scholastic Canada in 1999 and by Gramedia in Indonesia in 2008. This second edition was released by Granite Wings Inc. in 2021.
