OverviewThe Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an educational program jointly sponsored with the American Heart Association (AHA). The course is designed to teach an evidence-based approach to resuscitation of the newborn to hospital staff who care for newborns at the time of delivery. Since the inception of the NRP in 1987, over 3 million individuals in the United States and internationally have been trained and the program has been translated into over 30 languages.
