Author Information

Adeel Zeerak was born in the cosmopolitan city of Karachi in Pakistan. After graduating from NED University of Engineering & Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering, he joined the Institute of Business Administration, where he attained a master's in business administration with dual-specialization in marketing and finance. An APICS certified supply chain professional, he has served the manufacturing sector of Pakistan for almost thirteen years. He developed and conducted several training programs for the Pakistan Institute of Management, where he served as a management consultant, including training on gender issues for government officials, a project developed and funded by UNDP. Zeerak's religious teachers have included renowned non-traditional scholars as well as Ulema from traditional Islamic schools. Author of 'Islam: A Superior System of Life', 'Women, Feminism and Islam', and 'Terrorism, Extremism and Islam', he holds a black belt in the Japanese martial art of Shotokan Karate, and also enjoys swimming and reading.
