Alok Srivastava is a well-known name in literature, film and TV journalism. Famous as a Ghazal singer for three decades. His first Ghazal collection Aameen was included in bestseller books and awarded with many prestigious literary awards. He is a Ghazal singer who built a strong bridge between Hindi-Urdu, whose compositions were voiced by almost all the famous singers of the cinema world including Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas, Ustad Rashid Khan, Hariharan, Shubha Mudgal. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and famous actor and writer Ashutosh Rana also lent their voice to Alok's compositions many times. He was specially honoured in Washington and Los Angeles of USA for fame in the field of Ghazal. He has recieved Dushyant Kumar Award of Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Academy, Sukhan Samman of Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy, Firaq Gorakhpuri Samman, International Pushkin Samman of Moscow (Russia). He was first Ghazal singer to be honoured in the House of Commons of Britain's Parliament by Katha UK.
