Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio she grew up in a musical family, getting her start singing with her father, a drummer and singer, and in The Byzantine Melkite Greek Catholic Church where she was raised. Her music ministry now extends to the Roman Catholic Church where she also leads worship. Today, Maria is a national jazz and Christian recording artist as well as a national voice over artist. She has released 10 solo albums, and 17 singles and written over 150 songs. Her ninth album was accepted for Grammy review in the Best Jazz Vocal Album category in 2024, and her 10th album is her first full Christian album which debuted in the top 10 on the Christian radio charts. She is a royalty earning member of ASCAP and has opened for major acts, including jazz greats Chuck Mangione and Bob Dorough; R&B group the Average White Band and British soul band Loose Ends.She sang and recorded with some of the music industry's finest during her tenure in Los Angeles, CA, as well as in her home town of Cleveland, OH when she returned.You will find Maria on IMDb as a theme song composer and actress for two independent films, and her music is available on all digital streaming platforms.In addition to her performing career, Maria is an educator who holds two Bachelor of Arts Degrees.
