"Not only are many gifted students found in many regular classrooms, all students have different needs and different levels of learning. How is the classroom teacher to manage the teaching process so that all students become eager, independent learners? Everly has developed a model (""Rewrite"") based on cognitive learning processes that establishes procedures to improve learning, build student independence and increase teacher availability and productivity. The model was used as part of a US Department of Education research project on promising practices for high-risk students, and it has been adopted as the organising model for the K-12 Language Arts Curriculum by the state of Utah.
