This book is the ideal solution for every primary teacher seeking to unleash the power of story writing. It is packed full of practical tips, worked examples and interesting ideas. * Alex Quigley, author of Why Learning Fails (And What To Do About It) *

This book is the ideal solution for every primary teacher seeking to unleash the power of story writing. It is packed full of practical tips, worked examples and interesting ideas. * Alex Quigley, author of Why Learning Fails (And What To Do About It) * A fantastic resource that will help you get the best out of your pupils. All teachers should read this – I cannot recommend this book highly enough. * Jenny Pearson, KS2 teacher and author of The Super Miraculous Journey of Freddie Yates * A focus on the basics of a sentence-based model, the importance of modelling everything, telling our pupils ‘why’ and giving them the chance to apply what they’ve learnt, means Chris Youles has produced a terrific resource with ideas and prompts to support pupils’ story writing. * Mary Myatt, education author and speaker @MaryMyatt * As a child (and sometimes even now) writing filled me with panic, so what I really like about Chris’ book is how it approaches writing from the POV of the child who is faced with the terror of the blank page. * Tom Palmer, children’s author @tompalmerauthor *
