He was chairman of the National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology for 30 years. He has won several teaching awards, including the APA Distinguished Teaching in Psychology Award. Sue Frantz (Highline College), with 30 years of psychology teaching experience, writes blogs on technology for academics (SueFrantz.com) and teaching psychology (bit.ly/SueFrantzPsych). In 2016, Frantz received the highest honor in the teaching of psychology—the APF Charles L. Brewer Distinguished Teaching of Psychology Award.
