She is currently affiliated with the National School of Public Health (ENSAP) and the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba. With over 19 years of experience in dental surgery, 15 years as a Comprehensive Dentistry Specialist, and 14 years in medical education, Professor Martínez Asanza earned her PhD in Medical Education Sciences in 2021 and was appointed Full Professor at Havana Dental School in 2022. Her scholarly contributions include editing several influential books on digital dentistry, preventive dentistry and geriatric dentistry, such as Geriatric Dentistry in the Age of Digital Technology (2023), Transforming Dental Health in Rural Communities: Digital Dentistry (2024), and Leveraging Digital Technology for Preventive Dentistry (2024). She has also authored 12 book chapters, published 21 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at numerous international conferences, establishing herself as a leading voice in digital health and dental education.
