Author Information

Brigid Bishop (1962- ) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the fourth child of five, to a blue collar family. She grew up in Freeland, Pennsylvania, a coal mining region where her Irish immigrant ancestors settled in the 1850's. Brigid worked as a buyer in the electronics industry as a young adult, until her first marriage, when she became a full-time stay at home mom until 1992, when she divorced her first husband and went on to raise her two young sons alone. For ten years, as a single parent, Bridget pursued a career in the printing industry, working her way up from an Inventory Control Analyst to an Operations Manager while pursuing her college education at night. In 2001 Brigid launched her fourth career as a New Age Life Coach and Freelance Writer. Her first book, Uncloaking the Tarot , published in 2001 and has been revised and re-released in November 2011. Uncloaking the Tarot is a guide for applying the esoteric of the Tarot to modern psychological methods. Brigid also produced a workbook to accompany this text, Uncloaking the Tarot, Workbook Companion and Tarot Journal in October 2011. After a decade of helping literally thousands of clients establish and develop healthy relationships, Brigid published her second book, The Dating Game: Insights into Affairs of the Heart in April, 2010, which is a self-help guide to getting relationships on track in our fast-paced 21st Century lives. It is written with a sense of humor rarely found in the self-help genre and quite enjoyable, regardless of your relationship status. Brigid currently has several projects in the works, publishing over the course of the next 36 months, including, but not limited to an astrological guide to compatibility, a guide to internet dating, a little book of spells , a ghost story based on fact and an autobiographical novel.
