OverviewOriginally this was an account of an attempt on the Outright British Motorcycle Land Speed Record. It turned into a tale for the unwary. Pushing yourself too hard has consequences. If you want to know what technology is available. If science intrigues you and if you want something just that little bit different, this is for you. This is the real story of commitment, brotherhood and pressure that can break a man to his core. It is about the highs and lows of going for 'Fastest Man On Two Wheels'. It is about ground breaking technology and top secret aircraft design. It is about dedication and how sometimes success stays out of sight. It's about frustration, ill health and a long struggle. It's also about camaraderie, fun, adventure and what the future might hold. And if you think what happened here couldn't happen to you then think again. Although there is a lot of information about how to get the best performance out of a motorbike, there is also a lot about how to get the best from our minds. I have included a self development section as it is my belief that if we do not invest in ourselves then we are wasting a great opportunity and a life. This book doesn't stop at using a 10,000 a day wind tunnel, it doesn't stop at getting big businesses to hand over their wares and their money and it doesn't stop at red lights. If you want to find out how to use what was recently top secret technology to make a bike excel, if you want to find out why the 200 mph barrier is a tough one to cross or if you just want to know how to make tea then there is something in this book for you.
