Author Tamiya Woods-Dotsey is a brilliant and resilient girl from Detroit, MI. Unfortunately, Tamiya is no stranger to grief. She first experienced grief after the loss of her loving father, Michael, just a few weeks prior to arrival. For the past few years, Tamiya has partnered with her mom, a Licensed Clinical Therapist, to support other children coping with grief in a caring and relatable way. Now she has penned Tamiya's Magical Garden: A Collection of Grief Stories About Children's Grief to support children in learning about loss and coping techniques. In a special way to honor and remember her father, Tamiya decided to share her special project with the world.
