All About Opposites is a new series that offers very basic information, often using only the two words from the title of the book. Tall and Short features a giraffe who represents tall. On each spread the same two words tall/short are used and a new short animal appears opposite the giraffe. Young readers will see a frog, owl, kitten, dog and other animals, none of which are identified. That is one of the biggest shortcomings of the book and in this reviewer's opinion a lost opportunity to identify the small creatures and even offer a word or two about them. The book closes with references that are reasonably current, links to two websites and an index. The book is identified as Guided Reading level A with the word count of twenty., Children's Literature
