Barb was five when she thought of Penny. She imagined all the places this little one could go and vowed to someday write her story. Decades later, she has brought Penny to life on the pages of Tales of a Penny, her debut children's book. An unabashed penny lover and squeezer, Barb is a saver, an investor and a business woman living in Boulder, Colorado with her five children. With degrees in psychology and social work, she is a big believer in small change. From her earliest days in the crib, Izzi absorbed every picture book she could get her hands on - she read them, she drew them, and she smelled all the pages. Many broken pencils and torn up pictures later, she went on to create art for dozens of children's books, activity books, animation, and games. In her spare time, she loves exercising, taking (very) long walks, reading good books, and discovering great cinema.
