You never really know where life will take you. These tales are about a few of the places my life took me. Come with me as I travel around the world while serving a twenty-three-year career in the US Army, followed by a twenty-year career in the International Defense Industry. Read exciting and comical stories and tales; witness historical cold war events; and experience both my professional and personal life, as I serve assignments in the Republic of South Korea, the Continental United States, the Panama Canal Zone, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Balkans. Join me at the Demilitarized Zone in the Republic of Korea. Attend the Jungle Operations Training Center with me in the Panama Canal Zone. Make parachute jumps with me at Ranger School. Witness active planning and combat operations in the Kuwaiti Theater of Operations during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Join me and my Army assistance team on a flight to Dubrovnik, Croatia as part of rescue and recovery operations for a member of the President's cabinet. Learn how I met Second Lieutenant Lila Anne Priddy and witness our wedding ceremony at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Travel with Lila and I in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. But looking back over the last forty-six years, I can say now that life took me a whole lot of places that I would never have dreamed of.
