Overview

"This was a fun ride through a complex world(s) of various dimensions, timelines, and interesting characters. I'd love to read more about some of them and their backstory. I can just imagine some of the adventures Susie and others had (some were hinted at in this book)! The entire cast of unique characters really drive this story, who they are and what they can do help build the entire realm within this book. I really got a kick out of the title character, Susie Drake. She's a bit cantankerous, determined, and easy to root for. I also really enjoyed Susie breaking the fourth wall and calling out the author. Those short little breaks and the sporadic mentions of ""Jay"" were funny and broke the tension. They were sprinkled in here and there throughout the story and were well placed. There's a lot of humor weaved into the story, along with time jumps, shapeshifting, and teleportation. Great addition to my sci-fi shelf and can't wait for more from this author!"
