He is the author of Superman on the Couch: What Superheroes Really Tell Us About Ourselves and Our Society and Disguised as Clark Kent: Jews Comics and the Creation of the Superhero and an upcoming biography of Stan Lee, co-creator of the Marvel Universe. Fingeroth is a consultant to Will Eisner Studios and Wizard World Comic Conventions, and has spoken on comics-related topics at Columbia University, the Smithsonian Institution, The New York Historical Society, the Society of Illustrators and many other venues.
