OverviewIn August 2013, this book, combined with supplementary materials which can be downloaded at authors website and printed for around $200-$300 at a local copy shop, were used by the author to successfully pass the United States Patent and Trademark attorney examination. The book contains a descriptive overview of the patent process and an outline of the MPEP and the America Invents Act supplements. This study kit requires a 74 day study schedule. The author originally took the USPTO examination 3 times prior to passing using a popular online study program, a popular program of study disks and study books purchased online, and a study guide purchased on Amazon. After taking the exam and failing three times, it appeared to author that the USPTO designed its exam to force applicants to use the USPTO materials for study, not commercial materials. Author then condensed the USPTO materials into this book and created a study program which allowed him to pass the exam on the 4th try. Please note that this book contains an outline of MPEP version 8.9 and its accompanying associated supplements. The USPTO has published MPEP version 9.0 which now purports to incorporate the heretofore supplementary material into the text of the MPEP.
