He is a relatively new arrival to Australia coming originally from the UK. In the last four years Ian has worked at both Sydney University and now Griffith University with the Institute for Educational Research where he completed my doctoral thesis. Before moving to Australia he worked in London at Croydon College of Higher Education where he was the Head of the Critical and Theoretical Studies Department and before that as a Lecturer in the Education Studies Department. Previous to that Ian worked as a Social Worker and was seconded as a Practice Teacher to the University of the West of England and University College Northampton developing a degree pathway in social work specialising in Youth Mental Health.
