OverviewAn incurable hereditary disease haunts the lives of three generations of women and the men who love them. Add a stolen baby to make a tangled web of lies and deceptions. The book captures the chemistry of relationships developing, blossoming, then maybe withering, in the atmosphere of the typical rural Australian village - space, remoteness, nosy neighbours, loneliness, the struggle for survival. Real people living real lives, handling real problems.
