English summary: A few words regarding the time periods within which this research takes place. We start from the moment when - in Greece at the end of the 5th century BC - the salvation of the polis, the protection of what allows the city through its components to literally exist in the world, becomes the central question. The end of our journey is represented by the answers that the great Neoplatonic philosophers have provided to the great problem of salvation, even those in controversy with Christianity (in its various forms). Soteria and Soma are two cornerstones of the reflection of those who most acutely felt the crisis of the ancient world, of its secular culture. The work is divided into two volumes: the first covers up to the beginning of our era; the second deals with multiple intellectual landscapes and, ultimately, arrives at the period marked by the great personalities of Plotinus and Porphyry. Partiremo dal momento in cui - nella Grecia della fine del V secolo a.C. - la salvezza della polis, la tutela di cio che permette alla Citta attraverso i suoi componenti di stare letteralmente al mondo, diventa la questione centrale. Il termine del nostro viaggio e rappresentato dalle risposte che al grande problema della salvezza, anche in polemica con il cristianesimo (nelle sue varie declinazioni), hanno fornito i grandi filosofi neoplatonici. Soteria e soma sono due cardini della riflessione di chi fra loro piu acutamente ha avvertito la crisi del mondo antico, della sua cultura secolare. L'opera e divisa in due volumi: il primo si spinge sino all'inizio della nostra era; il secondo si confrontera con molteplici paesaggi intellettuali e approdera in conclusione al momento segnato dalle grandi personalita di Plotino e Porfirio.
