Author Information

Author Cassandra Reeder launched her blog, The Geeky Chef, in 2008, turning fictional food and drinks from a vast array of fandoms into reality with simple and fun recipes. Since then, a series of cookbooks based on the trailblazing blog have been published, including The Geeky Chef Cookbook and The Geeky Bartender Drinks. In 2023, she released The Video Game Chef, a nostalgia-filled culinary adventure featuring iconic foods from video games. In 2024, she co-authored Lyrics and Libations: The Ultimate 90s Cocktail Playlist, a spirited tribute to the sweet music of the '90s. When not conjuring up recipes inspired by fiction and pop culture, Cassandra can be found perusing the food carts in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and two tiny agents of chaos. Jim Festante has written for various networks and media outlets including NBCUniversal, Comedy Central, MTV, Syfy, The Washington Post, NBC TODAY, Discovery Networks, and Slate Magazine. His comics writing includes The End Times of Bram and Ben (Image), RIck and Morty Presents: Mr. Meeseeks (Oni), Field Tripping (Amazon/ComiXology Originals), and Survival Street (Dark Horse). He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Emily, their super fun kid, and a couple of yappy little wiener dogs.
