Squaddie: Diary of a Tank Transporter Driver

Overview

When I was seventeen I joined the British Army with the intention of becoming an HGV driver. I was young, foolish and a little out of control. Over the following four years I learned how to fight, drink, and love, enjoying myself immensely along the way. I met some very interesting people and made some amazing friends, with whom I shared a passion for life and excitement. After many mis-adventures and some harsh lessons in life, love and death, I eventually figured out that this had not been one of my best life choices. It was a roller-coaster of a ride and I hope you enjoy the journey almost as much as I did.

Author Information

Malcolm (Mal) G Reeves left the army and became a truck driver briefly, delivering pipe fittings around North Wales. He sequentially became a computer programmer, a part-time rock and blues musician, taxi driver and an electrician. Somewhere along the way he found time to write this book, but failed to generate any interest from publishers and agents (apart from one agent who subsequently moved to America). Thanks to the internet we can all now publish our books online without the need for that first obstacle. There are plans to write more books eventually but Mal's main interest is still music and song writing.
