Overview

American intelligence discovered for sale on the dark web Russian weapon technology, an amphibious drone capable of transporting illegal contraband and can deliver a nuclear dirty bomb missile. The sale is set to take place in the Caribbean, somewhere near Cuba. Among the interested parties are Mexican and international cartels and two Cuban generals. Fearing another Cuban Missile Crisis, a task force headed by Homeland Security Special Agent Robert Hardy, recruits two unknowns. Afro-Cuban American TJ Alvarez and his friend wounded warrior Jake Harper. TJ Alvarez, former Army Ranger sniper, now works for Miami Dade as an undercover member of the SWAT team gang enforcement unit. Agent Hardy directs him to investigate gang and cartel involvement as potential buyers in connection with a money laundering operation which points to a Russian Real Estate mogul living on a yacht docked at a private Miami marina. Jake Harper, absentee father of three, divorced while recovering from an IED attack, is about to lose everything including his ancestral farm. When he is offered a resort construction job in the Bahamas, he can't believe his good fortune. Soon after arriving on the island of Great Exuma, Special Agent Hardy, an old acquaintance, approaches with his offer, be Homeland's eyes and ears for the task force and all his debts would be taken care of. Jake, the reluctant recruit, becomes more involved than he wishes, beginning with his supervisor's and housemate's girlfriend Blakely Carmichael, an enigmatic, erotic vixen, around which everything and everyone tend to revolve. A spinner of many tales, one of which, a Russian Oligarch has taken a contract out on Jake which she must fulfill. Blakely disappears. Last seen with Jake. Jake becomes the number one suspect, jeopardizing his jobs, his freedom and, if Blakely is to be believed, his life. Jake quickly realizes taking on the jobs in the Bahamas was not the taste of paradise he hoped for. In order to save himself, he must learn who is who and what is what on the island of Exuma and ultimately, in Cuba.
