There is also a complementary explaining the underlying disease process, clinical presentation and recommended imaging and management. At the outset, the contents page sets out three fundamental divisions of the cases - Opening round, Fair Game and Challenges. However these titles are not explained and might be somewhat unfamiliar to the UK reader. I assume the authors are implying increasing levels of difficulty or reducing commonality of pathologies as the book progresses. The book includes160 cases covering wide range of pathologies. Other than the three main divisions, there doesn't seem to be any other structure or grouping of pathologies. As a learning tool this may be deliberate so that when the reader turns the page they do not know what to expect next. As a revision aid this would be effective. At the end of the book there is an index of the pathologies featured with associated page numbers, a useful feature for those that wish to look up a specific pathology.
