Tea and Scandal at Seven - the first in the series introduces the world to seven very different southern women who are not your typical southern women. Five years ago they started their Tea and Scandal at Seven meetings every Thursday night to discuss the adventures and stories of their lives, whether it's the famous indiscretions of Sheriff Amos, little Luther shooting the head off the Jesus statue, Miss Flossy's pursuit of any man that is packing (you figure out what that means), Miss Tova Devereaux throwing some corrupt politician's ass in jail, Miss Lacy Bell-Durning threatening to put the Lord's word in such a pitiful place, namely Dagger Dixon's family jewels or pushing her hellfire and eternal damnation rhetoric where ever she goes--there's sure to be tea and scandal . Of course, along side them is Miss Portia Ketchum who seems to be the demure and more refined one, that is until you hear about her little mishap with the Preparation H and her gentlemanly caller. Of course, Miss Jessica Fleabottom is noted to be the quiet one of the bunch but as the old saying goes, it's the quiet ones you have to watch and even she has her moments, especially at their yearly Feline Social. Miss Bessie Mae McCutcheons is Miss Trudy's maid and beloved friend and where ever she goes, her Maman's secret tea recipe goes with her. Needless to say, it ain't tea. Of course not, otherwise the women wouldn't be three sheets to the wind. You'll see them at the revival of the famous noted televangelist who will never live down the antics of Miss Bea's bird Max Thunder . He's one of those talking birds and what comes out of his mouth will make you blush. Of course, there's never a dull minute. This is the first in the series. Wait til you see them ride on their brand new Harley's, compliments of Miss Trudy.

I've been writing full-time since 1991 with the exception of a 10 1/2 year hiatus to take care of my elderly mother until her passing from a critical illness and I had to authorize medical staff to take her off life support and not resuscitate. I write southern fiction, socially conscious fiction and for sure, just plain funny books to make people laugh.
