Author Information

Kathryn Tomasetti developed a teenage crush on the South of France during an Interrail trip in the early 1990s. It wasn't until 2005 that she made a permanent move there, by way of an anthropology degree at the University of Manchester and a career as a modern art curator across Europe and the Far East. Kathryn provides features and photographs for several travel, food and yoga magazines, where she can indulge her love for alternative travel. A self-confessed foodie, she rates her favourite restaurants as Mathias Dandine in La Lavandou and Le Merenda in Nice. Tristan Rutherford has been a freelance travel writer since 2002. Originally based in London, his first travel assignment took him to Nice and he's been based there ever since. He has visited over 60 countries and written about 20 of them for the likes of the Guardian, the Independent and the Sunday Times Travel Magazine. As his favourite things to do in Provence, Tristan lists hiking the Rando06 routes, snorkelling off Cap d'Ail and Paloma Plage and reading the newspaper in any of the Cote d'Azur's pavement cafes.
