Author Information

Bushra Mohamed grew up between Kenya and the UK. She is of Yemeni, Kikuyu and Scottish heritage. Her experiences drive her open-minded and curious practice, finding inspiration in the complex histories of migration. Bushra is an External Examiner at University of Cambridge, Design & Critical Practice Tutor at the London School of Architecture and Lecturer at Kingston School of Art. Since 2023, She is a member of the Kingston Placemaking Panel as well as an advisory board member at Eastside Projects. She was named a RIBAJ Rising Star in 2020. Krish Nathaniel is an architectural designer, writer and researcher. Alongside working as an urban designer in London, Nathaniel serves as architect-in-residence at a number of London-based adventure playgrounds and is an Associate Lecturer on the MArch Architecture course at Central Saint Martins. Nathaniel's research focuses on the spatiocultural dimensions of autonomy and augmentation within urban and rural settings, using the tools of free play as a research methodology. This work is often explored through writing and making, exposing spatial conditions and lesser known histories.
