Overview

Holding the Pieces of your soul in fear can be debilitating and rob you of your peace. In Clark's memoir, Soul Pieces, she vulnerably journeys through her life's obstacles, in an effort to reveal her truth behind domestic violence and divorce. Clark reconfigures the broken pieces and creates a beautiful new narrative. Through her lived experiences, she uses the love of her daughter, the love of herself, and the love of her Savior to embrace a new way of being.

Author Information

Amika T. Clark felt the urge to share her story of divorce, domestic violence, and empowerment, to support women and men who were unclear about the steps to take after living under the shroud of fear and disappointment. As a mother, Amika wants to change the narrative and cycle for her daughter by voicing her personal, internal thoughts, highlighting the trials and sacrifices she's made along the journey, which now are in her rearview mirror. Today, she celebrates the freedom along the journey, superseding the sacrifices. The double-degree engineer and project manager is a loving mother, daughter, and friend who vulnerably shares her challenges, in hopes of creating a space for others to do the same. However, her journey has encouraged her to embrace the notion that challenges are not geographically specific. Therefore, she hopes her story of healing and freedom will encourage and inspire others to look inward and embrace their pieces to find peace. JT Publishing House, LLC.
