Sonia Gui�ansaca is an internationally acclaimed poet, culture strategist, and activist who was born in Ecuador (Kichwa-Ka�ari), and at the age of five, migrated to the United States to reunite with their parents in New York. Gui�ansaca helped build some of the largest undocumented organizations in the U.S and co-founded some of the first artistic projects, writers retreats, and workshops for and by undocumented writers. They have been awarded residencies and fellowships from Voices of Our Nation Arts Foundation, BOAAT Writer's Retreat, and the Hemispheric Institute for Performance & Politics, among others. Viet Thanh Nguyen was born in Vietnam and raised in America. He is the author of The Sympathizer, which was awarded the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Fiction, the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, the Edgar Award for First Novel, the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, and the California Book Award for First Fiction. He is also the author of the nonfiction books Nothing Ever Dies and Race and Resistance. He teaches English and American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California and lives in Los Angeles. Avi Roque was always searching for creative outlets as a child, whether they were drawing cartoons, coloring, painting, or, despite their shyness, performing for their family. Having received their bachelor's degree in theater arts from California State University, Fullerton, they are a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association. A Latinx/Trans/Non-Binary artist, they adore the arts and believe that there is always a story to tell. Marisa Blake is a multi-award winning audiobook narrator. She is bilingual in both English and Spanish and is passionate about children's literature. She has narrated dozens of audiobooks, created the YouTube channel Miss Bee's Audio Reads, and regularly volunteers with Learning Ally, an organization that records audiobooks for children with learning disabilities. She also specializes in voiceover for commercials, e-learning, telephony, and video games. When not narrating, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Christian Barillas is an actor based in Los Angeles with credits in theater, film, and television. Christian studied Advertising and Journalism at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and earned an MFA in Acting from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television, where he was the recipient of the George Burns Fellowship in Comedy. He was born in Guatemala City.
