A Cornell University graduate, he is an award-winning journalist with more than 30 years of experience as a reporter and editor in Southern California and Upstate New York. He is currently the outdoors writer for Syracuse.com/The Post-Standard in Syracuse, N.Y., covering everything from birding to bear hunting.
