Overview

"This call-and-response game will have kids, and adults, laughing their heads off! A simple change of pronoun makes the simple answer ""So did I"" into a simply hilarious episode. Kids will want to make up their own episodes and, once they catch on to the necessary pronoun change, they will be off and running with a favorite new game. Teachers can use ""So did I"" to delight their students and emphasize the importance of those little pronouns. Whether you use this book to teach, or simply for a good laugh, you will love ""So Did I."" Bryant Canzoneri, the son of David and Carrie Canzoneri, grew up playing this game. He earned his BFA in Communication Design from the University of North Texas where he is now the Creative Director of Dining Services. This is his first book (unless you count the three-page book he wrote when he was three years old entitled ""Tom and His Mother."""

Author Information

"David Canzoneri lives with his wife Carrie in Commerce, Texas, their home since 1985. After he graduated from the University of Arizona, where he majored in creative writing, he worked at Arizona's largest used bookstore. His association with books continued in Commerce as he ran the Cornerstone Bookstore which was the official book provider for Bill Martin Jr's conferences. It was that association with Bill that gave David the impetus to take his lifelong love of writing and develop ""Brush Your Little Pearly Whites"" and many other titles to come in the future. A kindergarten teacher for 13 years, and a parent of four kids, David has a real love for young kids and a deep concern for them to develop their language skills. And he wants them to laugh along the way to literacy. As a child, Bryant loved to make art. He spent much of his time drawing and dabbling in other media. As he matured, he never lost that childlike love. In high school he discovered that he could make a living as a graphic designer, so it was only natural that he would go on to earn a BFA in Communication Design from the University of North Texas. He has indeed made a career as a designer and marketer in the north Texas area and considers himself blessed to get paid for something he has always enjoyed. ""So Did I"" is his first children's book (if you don't count the 3-page book entitled ""Tom and His Mother"" that he wrote when he was three years old)."
