Overview

A full-length (45-minute) adult Christmas cantata musical dramatizing the many different journeys traveled to the manger: Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, the magi, and ours. The musical is traditional in style, based on several English carols and accompanied by keyboard and handbells. Three medium-voice soloists and four-part choir comprise the vocal forces. The dramatic scenes can be narrated (8 to 12 speaking parts) by members of the choir; optionally, a separate music drama group with costumes and staging may be employed. *1999 Singer's Choir Book.
