OverviewIn a lawless land, justice rides a thin line between right and revenge... Seventeen-year-old Wilsey Grant is alone on the trail when he crosses paths with a stranger on foot. Together, they arrive in the dusty frontier town of Silver Grass, where Wilsey meets a girl bound in indentured servitude. But before long, the traveler turns up dead-marking the start of trouble. Wilsey takes a job at the nearby Emerald Peaks Ranch and begins to hear whispers of ranch hands intimidating local settlers. When a homesteader boy is gunned down, the deputy sheriff arrests one of the culprits. But justice is short-lived. The ranch owner rides into town with armed men, kidnaps a young girl, and demands a trade. After killing the deputy and freeing the prisoner, they leave chaos behind-setting fire to buildings and fueling more bloodshed. Two of the raiders are brought down, but the worst of them remain at large. With the town in ruins, the wounded deputy returns to action, raising a posse to take the fight to the ranch. As bullets fly and tensions mount, Wilsey reunites with the servant girl-and promises that when her time of service is done, he'll help her find the sister she lost. "". . . let the well-balanced story set a spark to an ongoing interest in the Western frontier and its people."" -Historical Novel Society Full Product DetailsAuthor: John D NesbittPublisher: Wolfpack Publishing LLC Imprint: Wolfpack Publishing LLC Dimensions: Width: 12.70cm , Height: 1.70cm , Length: 20.30cm Weight: 0.240kg ISBN: 9798895673652Pages: 266 Publication Date: 30 December 2025 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Not yet available This item is yet to be released.
